An Inspiring Author Visit

On Monday 9th January 2017, an author called David Lawrence–Jones came in to inspire us to read and write more. Remarkably, David didn't enjoy reading when he was a young boy, although that soon changed. He told the story of how he became an avid reader and therefore a writer! He also shared some extracts from stories he had written, whilst he even allowed some of us to act as some of the characters from his first book.

His series, which had four books within it, was called Bradley Baker. It was based on a young boy, who went on many adventures. On Wednesday 11th January, he came back into our school, signing books that some children had purchased. They are a fantastic read!

This was an extremely exciting experience for us all and we hope that many more authors are invited to our school in the future!
